RC Submarine and their Diving System

RC submarines are fun to operate because they can be radio or remote controlled. They are the king vessels under water which makes then superb in water exploration. Using these items is best seen in clear, see-through water. It doesn’t have to go deep, as long as you can see them and have fun with them, and then you’re good to go.

In such cases where in the water may be too deep or too dark, your sighting facility is limited. Elements like salt and chlorine are also hindering factors in having a clear radio reception. This is the reason why others prefer their RC subs to be suspended in aquariums or under clear water. These areas are free of debris and other suspended particles. Just remember that when you’ve decided your units to go in depth, always go for the range of 5 to 6 feet in order to minimize risks of under water lose.

Diving is the best move RC Subs can go. The two types of diving system in RC Submarines are the dynamic divers and the static divers. Dynamic diving system is using the sub’s controlled surfaces, which is the fin or the hydroplane. It also considers speed in order to force the unit under water. In case they slow down or stop moving, they have the capacity to return on surface. This system includes the typical 3-channel controller of the throttle, diving plane and the rudder. An Example of this system is the Sea Scout Micro RC Submarine that is for downward thrust. The other system is the Static Diving System. This kind has the capacity to shift the weight of the unit by means of filling the dive tanks or the ballast, assisting them in submerging. Dumping the extra weight in order to regain buoyancy allows them to return again on the surface. This system makes use of electric motor pumps, or compressed gas to fill or empty the ballast tanks. The system contains a controller having 4 channels at minimum level.

They always say: “what goes up, must come down”; and this is mostly true if your RC Subs get lost under water. So before getting excited in its operation, be sure to check your batteries or you’ll end up waving goodbye to the thousand dollars spent.
